Newcastle United have reportedly joined the race to try and land the signature of Dusan Vlahovic in the January transfer market.

Newcastle United have reportedly joined the race to try and sign Dusan Vlahovic in the January transfer market.

The striker currently plays for Fiorentina and has made a strong start to the 2021-22 campaign, scoring 12 goals in 14 Serie A appearances to this point.

His contract with the Italian club is due to expire in 2023 and he has yet to agree to a new deal, which has led to speculation about his future.

According to The Sun, Newcastle are now interested in signing him as the club looks to add some goals to the team in an attempt to survive this season.

However, they are not the only Premier League outfit that are keeping tabs on the striker as Manchester City are also reportedly interested in him.

It was also noted that Fiorentina will demand a large fee for Vlahovic if he does leave in the upcoming transfer window.
