Man City 'still keen on Nathan Ake deal'

Manchester City reportedly remain interested in a potential summer deal for Nathan Ake.

City are expected to move for a new central defender in this summer's transfer window, having seen long-serving Vincent Kompany leave at the end of the 2018-19 campaign.

Earlier this month, it was reported that the Citizens were eyeing a £40m move for Ake, who has impressed for Bournemouth since moving to the Cherries from Chelsea.

According to The Telegraph, the Netherlands international is still on the club's wishlist despite fresh links with Leicester City's Harry Maguire before the summer window slams shut.

Ake spent a period of the 2016-17 season on loan with the Cherries from Chelsea before completing a permanent move to the Vitality Stadium in the summer of 2017.

The 24-year-old has a contract with Eddie Howe's side until the end of the 2021-22 campaign.
