Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has insisted that defender Eliaquim Mangala is "not ready" to make his debut against Stoke City.
Mangala, who has moved to City in a £32m deal from Porto, hasn't featured in either of Pellegrini's 18-man squads for the games with Newcastle United and Liverpool and his absence from Saturday's match leaves the French international having to wait until after the international break to make his first appearance.
However, Pellegrini indicated at his pre-match press conference that striker Sergio Aguero could make his first start of the season after previously coming off the substitutes' bench in his club's first two fixtures.
City will move to the top of the Premier League table should they overcome the Potters at the Etihad Stadium.
