Mali, Greece draw a blank at U20 World Cup

Mali, Greece draw a blank

Both Mali and Greece still have a chance of reaching the knockout stages of the Under-20 World Cup in Turkey after playing out a goalless draw in Gaziantep this evening.

Adama Niane squandered the best chance of the opening 45 for Mali when his lob over Stefanos Kapino bounced wide.

Greece had the better opportunities after the interval, with Andreas Bouchalakis wasting the best by hitting the crossbar from inside the six-yard box.

Greece move level with Paraguay at the top of Group D on four points while Mali are a couple back in third on two points with one game left to play in the group stage.
