The Belgian side needed a result to earn a place in the Europa League but fell behind after the Malaga skipper opened the scoring with a measured finish in first-half stoppage time.

Milan Jovanovic pounced on a loose ball five minutes into the second half to bring the sides level and give the visitors hope of a turnaround.

Duda put Malga back in front just six minutes with his second of the match, a low shot under Silvio Proto from Diego Buonanotte's chip.

Anderlecht equalised through Dieumerci Mbokani in stoppage time with a composed finish from close range.

Mbokani had a glorious chance to win the match and keep their European season alive a minute later but his shot was saved by Carlos Kameni.

Malaga saw out a frantic few moments to end an eventful match with their unbeaten record intact at the top of Group C.
