Sports Mole previews Malaga's first ever Champions League encounter against Zenit St Petersburg.

Malaga will make their first appearance in the Champions League group stages when Russian side Zenit St Petersburg visit La Rosaleda tomorrow night.

Despite the well-documented financial problems that the club are currently suffering from, they've had a positive start to the new La Liga season.

Coach Manuel Pellegrini has an almost fully fit squad to select from, with his main issue predicted to be between who to pick in attack between Javier Saviola and Roque Santa Cruz.

Should Argentine Saviola feature at some point, he will have represented five teams in Europe's top club competition.

Meanwhile, Brazilian international Hulk has been tipped to make a starting debut for Zenit. He scored six goals in the Champions League for FC Porto during the last campaign.

Recent form:

Malaga: WWDDW
Zenit: LWLDW

Possible lineups:

Malaga: Caballero; Sanchez, Demichelis, Weligton, Monreal; Camacho, Joaquin, Isco, Portillo, Eliseu; Santa Cruz

Zenit: Malafyev; Anyukov, Alves, Lombaerts, Yanbaev; Zyryanov, Denisov, Shirokov, Faizulin; Kerzhakov, Hulk

Sports Mole says: 1-1
