The Spanish goalkeeper is said to have been left frustrated by the club's failure to qualify for the Champions League over the previous two seasons.
As a result, he has instructed his agent to find him a club that are currently playing in Europe's top competition, according to The People.
One club that is believed to be interested in the 29-year-old is AC Milan, who are seeking a replacement for the ageing Christian Abbiati.
Should Reina depart Anfield, the Reds have been heavily linked with a move for Lyon's Hugo Lloris as a replacement.
