Liverpool 'yet to receive Lucas Leiva approach'

Liverpool have yet to receive any approaches for Lucas Leiva, according to reports.

The long-serving midfielder put his future at Anfield up for debate when he removed reference to being a Liverpool player from his Twitter account.

Lucas slipped down the pecking order last season and the signing of German midfielder Emre Can has only upped the competition for places in the middle of the park.

The Reds are prepared to listen to offers for the 27-year-old but so far none has been forthcoming, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Lucas has previously been linked with a move to Italy for a reunion with former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez at Napoli.
