Liverpool want Sporting Lisbon teenager Andre Cardoso?

Liverpool are reportedly on the brink of signing Sporting Lisbon youngster Andre Cardoso.

The Merseyside giants are said to be preparing a number of moves for big-name targets, with Jurgen Klopp's side having narrowly missed out on the Premier League title.

However, it appears that Klopp is also preparing for the future, and Jornal Madeira says that Liverpool are close to securing the signature of Cardoso.

The report suggests that discussions over the weekend are 'crucial', although it is claimed that a deal is 'almost certain' to be finalised.

Cardoso is yet to make a first-team appearance for Sporting, meaning that Liverpool would likely use the 18-year-old striker in their Under-23s squad.
