Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp has been named the Premier League Manager of the Month for September.
The 49-year-old becomes the first ever German recipient of the award after a month in which he guided the Reds to three successive victories, including impressive triumphs over champions Leicester City and London rivals Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Klopp also masterminded a 5-1 demolition of Hull City to bring his side to within two points of league leaders Manchester City.
"I went into the office of my coaches and said, 'We are Manager of the Month! I don't need personal prizes but it's nice now I have another one'," Klopp said of the accolade.
"We are on a good way but there are so many good teams in this league and so many difficult games for us, which we have to be ready for. I'm fine with the moment, but we have to play a few more games and hopefully we perform well."
Other contenders for the gong included City boss Pep Guardiola, Crystal Palace's Alan Pardew, Tottenham Hotspur's Mauricio Pochettino and Arsenal's Arsene Wenger.
