Liverpool's Danny Ings: 'It's frustrating not playing, but I understand'

Ings 'frustrated' by lack game time

Liverpool striker Danny Ings has admitted that it is "frustrating" for him to wait for his first run-out this season, but understands that the team comes first.

The 23-year-old signed for the Reds from Burnley on a free transfer in the summer, but his fellow new arrival Christian Benteke has so far been given the nod up front.

"Obviously it's frustrating not being able to get on and get a real feel of it, but at the same time you understand because if you're on the bench, you're not in the squad, or you're starting, it's important that we're a team going forward," Ings told the club's official website. "Hopefully my time will come soon and I'll enjoy every moment."

Liverpool have won their first two Premier League games of the season, and they will take on Arsenal at the Emirates this evening.
