Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker steps up his comeback from a hip injury by following a training programme at home.

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker appears on course to be available for the resumption of the Premier League later in the year.

Ahead of his team's fixture with Chelsea on March 2, the Brazilian sustained a hip injury, resulting in his absence from the three matches which Liverpool played before football was brought to a halt by the coronavirus pandemic.

However, Alisson has taken to his Instagram account to show supporters that he has been going through a range of exercises ahead of his return to the starting lineup.

Speaking to the club's official website, goalkeeping coach John Achterberg added: "Alisson sent videos, doing some jumping and exercises. Obviously, we were working with him until the lockdown and he was basically fit.

"Now it's for him to maintain it in the house, like the other goalkeepers. They all get their programmes from the fitness department so they will do the job and the work to try to stay as fit as they can, like all the other players as well."

Having also sustained a calf injury at the beginning of the season, Alisson has been restricted to 25 appearances during the current campaign.
