Sports Mole's countdown of the top 10 greatest Liverpool strikers from the Premier League era concludes with number one - Robbie Fowler.

The other nine on this list are all great strikers in their own right, but only one man has been bestowed with the title of 'God' by the Anfield faithful.

Robbie Fowler was a revelation when he burst into the senior team in 1993, scoring 12 goals in his first 13 games for the club and going on to score 65 times in the top flight during his first three seasons.

Injuries hampered the progress of a player who looked on course to become one of England's greatest ever goalscorers, but he still went on to score 128 times in 236 Premier League games for the Reds over two spells.

Only five players in the competition's history have scored more goals than Fowler, who was twice named the PFA Young Player of the Year and helped Liverpool to their treble in 2001.

The Toxteth-born sharpshooter fell out of favour under Gerard Houllier and eventually left his boyhood club to join Leeds United, but his return in 2006 - albeit as a bit-part player - further cemented his legendary status.
