Kostas Tsimikas picked up an ankle injury before the triumph at Southampton, and even though it is still unclear how long the Greek will be sidelined for, he is sure to miss Wednesday's match.

Trent Alexander-Arnold

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Hamstring Possible return date: November 27 (vs. Real Madrid)

Trent Alexander-Arnold sat out the victory over Southampton with the hamstring issue he sustained in the win over Aston Villa before the international break, although Slot expects him to make the squad on Wednesday, even if he is unavailable to start.

Diogo Jota

Status: Out Type of injury: Abdominal Possible return date: December 7 (vs. Everton)

Diogo Jota's abdominal concern is proving more difficult to overcome than initially anticipated, and Slot does not expect him to return for the meeting with Real Madrid or Manchester City at the weekend.

Alisson Becker

Similarly, Alisson Becker's hamstring problem is set to rule him out of Liverpool's two crunch matches in the coming week, although a comeback in early December should still materialise.
