Leicester City are reportedly keen on Yverdon Sport midfielder Moussa Baradji, who is also attracting interest from Galatasaray and Torino.

Leicester City are reportedly interested in signing Yverdon Sport midfielder Moussa Baradji.

The Foxes are preparing for life back in the Championship, following an immediate relegation from the Premier League during the 2024-25 term.

There was some reason for cheer on Sunday afternoon, though, with Leicester securing a point at the City Ground, where Nottingham Forest are aiming to qualify for the Champions League.

It appeared as if goals from Chris Wood and Morgan Gibbs-White would hand the Tricky Trees all three points at 2-1, before Facundo Buonanotte equalised for the visitors.

Despite earning a respectable share of the spoils, Ruud van Nistelrooy's troops remain 19th in the Premier League standings, 16 points away from safety with two games remaining.

Leicester to fight Galatasaray, Torino for Baradji?

According to Italian outlet Footmercato, Leicester are casting their scouting net far and wide ahead of a sobering return to the Championship.

The report claims that the relegated Foxes are keen on securing the signature of Baradji, who currently plays his football for Yverdon in Switzerland.

Given that the 24-year-old's contract expires next summer, it is understood that the midfielder could be available for a cut-price fee in the coming months.

As well as the Championship-bound Foxes, Italian outfit Torino are also thought to be considering a swoop for the Mali enforcer during the summer trading point.

There are also admirers further East, with Turkish giants Galatasaray reportedly joining Leicester and Torino in the pursuit of Baradji.

Leicester's midfield situation

With Leicester's relegation to the Championship confirmed, there is set to be a major rebuild in the midfield ranks at Filbert Way before August.

Harry Winks, who is currently enduring a club-imposed suspension, is prepared to depart the King Power Stadium alongside fellow midfielder Boubakary Soumare.

Long-serving player Wilfred Ndidi is likely to have top-tier suitors, meaning that Oliver Skipp could be left as the only remaining senior player in the engine room.
