Report: Leicester City turn attention to Loic Remy in striker search

Leicester 'turn attention to Loic Remy'

Leicester City have reportedly turned their attention to Chelsea's Loic Remy in their search for a striker on deadline day.

Claudio Ranieri has made no secret of his desire to bring in another forward before the transfer window closes at 11pm, although their interest in primary target Ahmed Musa has reportedly waned today.

The Foxes are understood to be unwilling to meet CSKA Moscow's £23m asking price for the striker, while personal terms are another sticking point in negotiations.

As a result, the Premier League leaders will now switch their focus to Remy, who is free to leave Chelsea this month, according to Sky Sports News.

The Blues are reportedly keen on a permanent deal for the French striker, while Remy is more interested in a loan switch in order to give him a chance to return to the club and fight for his place when a new manager arrives in the summer.

Leicester have also allegedly been offered Mame Biram Diouf from Stoke City, which is another avenue that they are considering.
