Leicester City agree fee for Shaun Maloney

Leicester City have agreed a fee with Wigan Athletic for the transfer of Shaun Maloney.

The Scotland international has been heavily linked with a move away from the Latics, as his contract is set to expire in the summer.

There were reports that he would join up with former club Celtic, but he will now undergo a medical with the Foxes after a fee of just under £1m was reached.

Maloney joined Wigan from Celtic in August 2011 and helped the club to win the FA Cup in 2013.
