Team News: Dominic Calvert-Lewin spearheads Everton attack

Calvert-Lewin spearheads Everton attack

Caretaker boss David Unsworth has made two changes to Everton's starting lineup for this afternoon's Premier League meeting with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

The Toffees bring in Idrissa Gueye and Dominic Calvert-Lewin from their 2-1 defeat to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the EFL Cup on Wednesday night.

Calvert-Lewin, on the scoresheet late on against the Blues in that cup tie, is tasked with leading the line for the visitors, starting just ahead of Wayne Rooney.

Yannick Bolasie, Ross Barkley and Seamus Coleman all remain sidelined for Everton, who are competing for the first time in the top flight since sacking boss Ronald Koeman earlier this week.

In terms of the hosts, Claude Puel has also made two changes for his first game at the King Power Stadium helm, bringing in Ben Chilwell and Demarai Gray for Shinji Okazaki and Marc Albrighton.

Leicester, without Robert Huth and Matty James through injury, will go with a likely 4-2-3-1 formation spearheaded by Jamie Vardy.

Leicester City: Schmeichel; Simpson, Morgan, Maguire, Fuchs; Iborra, Ndidi; Chilwell, Gray, Mahrez; Vardy Subs: Hamer, Dragovic, King, Albrighton, Iheanacho, Slimani, Okazaki

Everton: Pickford; Kenny, Williams, Jagielka, Baines; Gueye, Davies; Lennon, Rooney, Mirallas; Calvert-Lewin Subs: Robles, Schneiderlin, Sigurdsson, Niasse, Holgate, Lookman, Baningime
