Leicester City's Jamie Vardy enjoying "carnage" celebrations during parade

Leicester City star Jamie Vardy says that he is enjoying the "carnage" of the team's open-top bus parade after winning the Premier League title.

Leicester City star Jamie Vardy has described the atmosphere as "carnage" after thousands of supporters lined the streets for the club's Premier League title parade on Monday.

The players and manager Claudio Ranieri began their open-top bus parade at 6pm, leaving Jubilee Square before encountering a sea of blue shirts and flags.

The club are celebrating winning their first top-flight title in their 132-year history.

While on board the bus, Vardy said: "It's carnage! I heard a little rumour that we were expecting 250,000 or so people. Look what it means to them all - all the shops are shut, everyone's hanging out the windows, people are on the roofs. What a day! It's brilliant!"

Leicester finished the season on Sunday with a 10-point lead.
