Leicester City captain Wes Morgan 'drained, emotional' after league title win

Leicester City captain Wes Morgan admits that he feels "drained and emotional" after winning the Premier League title.

Leicester City captain Wes Morgan has admitted that he feels "drained and emotional" after it was confirmed last night the he and his teammates are Premier League champions.

The Foxes earned their first top-flight title in the club's 132-year history last night after Chelsea restricted Tottenham Hotspur to a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.

Morgan and his teammates watched the match at Jamie Vardy's home and celebrations ensued once the final whistle was blown.

"I can't quite believe it yet," Morgan told Sky Sports News. "Not quite sunk in. There was lots of celebrating last night and it was a late one. I'm a bit drained and emotional to be honest.

"There was a few tears, laughs, cries, kisses and I'm a bit emotional too. The boys were jumping on each other, standing on furniture. I hope Vard's house is alright!

"Looking at the start of the season I never thought I'd be in this moment now. It will go down in history and it's an achievement that might not be achieved again. I can't wait to get my hands on the trophy."

Morgan will lift the trophy at the King Power Stadium after Leicester's game against Everton on Saturday.
