Half-Time Report: Late strikes put Leicester ahead

Goals from Wes Brown and Chris Wood give Leicester a 2-1 half-time lead against Fulham in the League Cup.

Leicester City have gone in at half time with a 2-1 lead over Fulham in the League Cup.

Late strikes from Wes Morgan and Chris Wood cancelled out Hugo Rodallega's 18th-minute goal for the visitors.

Colombian striker Rodallega found the bottom corner with a right-footed effort after good work from Giorgos Karagounis found Jon Arne Riise, who crossed for his teammate to score.

The home side nearly got themselves back into it just before the half-hour mark when former Cottagers defender Paul Konchesky drilled a long-range effort just over Maarten Stekelenburg's crossbar.

With five minutes of the half remaining, Morgan pounced inside the area to level things up for the Championship side after Stekelenburg could only parry Anthony Knockaert's free kick.

The Foxes then took the lead when Wood benefitted from a fortunate bounce to turn home on the stroke of half time.
