Juventus 'want to secure Diego Godin deal'

Juventus are reportedly keen to tie up a deal for Atletico Madrid centre-back Diego Godin this summer.

Godin, who represented Uruguay at the 2018 World Cup, will see his current Atletico deal expire at the end of next season, and could be available for £22m this summer.

The 32-year-old is still regarded as one of the best centre-backs in European football despite his advancing years, and Manchester United have also been credited with an interest.

According to Mediaset Premium, Juventus are keen to tie up a deal for Godin ahead of the 2018-19 campaign, and his arrival could see Medhi Benatia leave the club.

Godin has made 350 appearances for Atletico since a 2010 move from Villarreal.
