How Juventus could line up against SPAL

Sports Mole looks at how Juventus could line up in this weekend's Serie A clash with SPAL.

Juventus will travel to SPAL on Saturday afternoon knowing that a point would see them land their eighth straight Serie A crown.

Indeed, Juve currently sit 20 points clear of second-placed Napoli in Italy's top flight and will be looking to wrap up the championship ahead of next week's Champions League quarter-final second leg with Ajax in Turin.

Cristiano Ronaldo returned from injury to score in a 1-1 draw in Amsterdam on Wednesday night, meaning that the quarter-final contest is delicately poised ahead of the second leg in Turin on Tuesday.

It seems likely that head coach Massimiliano Allegri will make changes for the clash with SPAL and with that in mind, Sports Mole has looked at how the Italian champions could line up this weekend.


POSS JUVE XI vs. SPAL

Out: Emre Can (ankle), Giorgio Chiellini (calf), Martin Caceres (muscle)

Ronaldo made his return from injury against Ajax on Wednesday night, but it seems unlikely that the Portugal international will be included this weekend so he is fresh for the second leg.

As mentioned, Allegri is expected to ring the changes, with Sami Khedira, Paulo Dybala and Douglas Costa - who all came off the bench against Ajax - due to be handed starting roles away to SPAL.

Daniele Rugani could once again feature with Giorgio Chiellini still struggling with a calf injury, but Emre Can is again unavailable due to an ankle problem.

Mario Mandzukic started through the middle against Ajax, but the Croatian is expected to drop out this weekend so Moise Kean can once again take up the centre-forward role.

Kean has scored five times in his last five Serie A appearances, including the winner in last weekend's 2-1 home success over AC Milan.
