Alan Judge: 'No ill feeling towards Luke Hyam'

Judge: 'No ill feeling towards Hyam'

Brentford midfielder Alan Judge has insisted that he does not want Luke Hyam to suffer any abuse for the challenge that left him with a broken leg.

Three minutes had elapsed at Portman Road earlier this month when Ipswich Town's Hyam went into a tackle with Judge, who will now miss the Republic of Ireland's Euro 2016 campaign.

Even so, Judge has said that he does not blame Hyam for the incident.

"I had my eyes set on the ball and I can see Luke coming in and he has put in a tackle," he told Sky Sports News.

"He has definitely not gone out to break my leg and I don't want him to get any abuse.

"These things can happen in football. Football can give you everything then take everything away."

The 27-year-old has earned one senior international cap.
