David McGoldrick returns to Ipswich Town squad

Having recovered from a groin complaint, David McGoldrick will be on Ipswich Town's bench for tomorrow's game against Middlesbrough.

Mick McCarthy has confirmed that David McGoldrick will be in the Ipswich Town squad for tomorrow's home Championship clash against Middlesbrough.

The striker has missed Ipswich's last three games because of a groin complaint.

However, despite making a return to fitness, McCarthy admitted that the 28-year-old will start the encounter at Portman Road as a substitute.

"He's available and he'll be on the bench. It's nice to have him back but if it's 0-0 with 30 minutes to go, don't all start shouting for David McGoldrick and expect him to get on because he's not at that level. We'd get 10 or 15 minutes out of him at full tilt," he told the East Anglian Daily Times.

McGoldrick has scored three goals during his 17 appearances in all competitions this term.
