Sports Mole rounds up the day's action from League One, where 19 goals were scored across seven games.

Hartlepool United recorded their second win in 27 games this afternoon as they overcame fellow League One strugglers Portsmouth at Fratton Park.

Jack Baldwin, James Poole and Greg Rutherford were on the scoresheet for the visitors, who remain bottom of the table.

Jed Wallace netted a consolation goal for Pompey, who are now five points from safety in 23rd.

Bournemouth won at home for the first time in 2013, as a Brett Pitman hat-trick helped seal a 3-1 victory over Crewe Alexandra.

Scunthorpe United forward Karl Hawley scored against former club Carlisle United.

However, it was not enough to give his side all three points, as David Symington hit a stunning free kick to earn the Cumbrians a 1-1 draw at Brunton Park.

Colchester United climbed out of the relegation zone by beating Walsall 2-0.

Elsewhere, Leyton Orient beat Notts County 2-1, while Preston North End were held to a 2-2 draw by Coventry City in an entertaining match at Deepdale. Bury drew 0-0 at Shrewsbury Town and Swindon Town's match at Tranmere Rovers was postponed due to a frozen pitch.

Results in full: Bournemouth 3-1 Crewe, Carlisle 1-1 Scunthorpe, Colchester 2-0 Walsall, Leyton Orient 2-1 Notts County, Portsmouth 1-3 Hartlepool, Preston 2-2 Coventry, Shrewsbury 0-0 Bury
