Djourou wants Hannover stay

Johan Djourou has revealed that he wants to remain at Hannover beyond the summer.

The 26-year-old defender's current loan deal with the German outfit will run out at the end of the season, after which he will have to return to his parent club Arsenal.

"It would be fantastic if the clubs could agree on a deal," he told Neue Presse Hannover.

"I have been granted the chance to play here and I am getting better and better and slowly finding my old form.

"It is a difficult situation since I still have two years left on my contract in London."

Djourou joined Hannover on loan in January.
