Conference Premier roundup: Halifax Town reclaim top spot

Sports Mole rounds up Tuesday night's action in the Conference Premier as Halifax Town return to the top of the table with a 1-1 draw at Macclesfield Town.

Halifax Town have earned a 1-1 draw with Macclesfield Town to reclaim top spot in the Conference Premier table.

Scott Boden's opener was cancelled out by Arthur Gnahoua, but the Shaymen now sit one point ahead of Barnet, who play Dover Athletic tomorrow evening.

Woking closed the gap on Halifax to one point after they edged out Aldershot Town, but Kidderminster Harriers lost their unbeaten record as they fell to a 1-0 defeat away at Southport.

Gateshead capitalised on Harriers' setback by moving into fourth position with a 4-1 victory over AFC Telford United, while Torquay United continued their good form with a 2-0 triumph away at Chester FC.

A late goal from Dartford's Harry Crawford earned his side a point against Eastleigh, while Lincoln City moved past Grimsby Town in the standings after a 3-2 victory at Sincil Bank.

Alfreton Town conceded a last-minute goal to pick up a 1-1 draw with Altrincham, but the Derbyshire outfit will be relieved to register their first point of the campaign.

Welling United moved clear of the bottom two with a 2-1 success over Braintree Town, with managerless Nuneaton Town also getting three points on the board after they beat Forest Green Rovers by a solitary goal.

The other result of the evening saw Bristol Rovers move closer to midtable with a 1-0 win over Wrexham.
