How Germany could line up against Ukraine

Germany will be looking to move onto five points in their UEFA Nations League group when they continue their 2020-21 campaign away to Ukraine on Saturday night.

Joachim Low's side currently sit third in Group 4 of League A, having drawn their two opening matches of the section against Spain and Switzerland.

Germany will enter the game off the back of a 3-3 draw with Turkey in an international friendly on Wednesday night, with Julian Draxler, Florian Neuhaus and Luca Waldschmidt scoring the goals for Die Mannschaft.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the visitors could line up in Kiev.

Germany named their 23-man squad for the trip to Ukraine on Thursday afternoon, with Benjamin Henrichs, Nico Schulz, Niklas Stark, Nadiem Amiri and Mahmoud Dahoud all dropping out of the selection.

Toni Kroos and Timo Werner have both joined up with the squad and are expected to start, while Bayern Munich's Manuel Neuer, Leon Goretzka, Joshua Kimmich and Serge Gnabry are also now available for selection.

Neuer, Kimmich and Gnabry are expected to come into the XI on Saturday night, while Lukas Klostermann could also earn a spot at wing-back, having also linked up with the squad ahead of the trip to Ukraine.

Chelsea's Kai Havertz provided two assists in the draw with Turkey on Wednesday and should keep his spot in the side, with Gnabry and Werner also potentially lining up in the final third of the field.

Antonio Rudiger has struggled for football at Chelsea this season, but the 27-year-old is likely to continue as part of a three-man defence with Niklas Sule and Emre Can.
