Batian Schweinsteiger fit for Germany

Germany boss Joachim Low has revealed that Bastian Schweinsteiger will be available for their Euro 2012 semi-final clash with Italy on Thursday.

It had been thought that the 27-year-old would miss out with an ankle injury, but Low has handed the nation a major boost.

"He is the team's emotional leader. We need him on the field," he told reporters.

The final of Euro 2012 takes place on July 1.
