Philipp Hosiner plays down Everton talk

Austria Vienna striker Philipp Hosiner has played down speculation linking him with a move to Everton.

It was reported over the weekend that the Toffees are keen on signing the 24-year-old Austrian international.

"At this point in time I would like to have my peace," Hosiner told Osterreich.

"We have an important [Champions League] playoff match coming up and then after that I will listen to all enquiries with my agent.

"After that, we will see if it's worth me leaving such a great club like Austria Vienna."

Hosiner scored 32 goals in 34 games last season.
