Steven Naismith couldn't remember FA Cup goal

Naismith couldn't remember goal

Roberto Martinez has revealed that Steven Naismith could not remember scoring for Everton in the FA Cup after picking up a concussion.

The winger scored the Toffees' second goal in their 3-1 victory over Swansea City at Goodison Park earlier today.

The manager told BBC Sport: "Steven took a knock and had delayed concussion. He felt fine initially and was then dizzy. He couldn't remember that he scored, so I told him he scored from 40 yards.

"Steven is a gem of a boy. He has an incredible attitude and I'm so pleased he is enjoying his football. He was instinctive and a real threat when he came on."

Everton will face Arsenal in the quarter-finals of the competition next month.
