Amnesty International reveals Euro 2012 police fear

Fans travelling to Euro 2012 this summer could be threatened by a criminal police force, according to Amnesty International.

Ukraine will hold 11 matches during the tournament, but reports have suggested that fans could be in danger of 'police brutality'.

"The Ukrainian government must take action now to stop widespread police criminality," Amnesty director John Dalhuisen stated.

"Failure to do so will encourage them to continue acting as a law unto themselves and put Euro 2012 fans in danger from a force that is out of control."

Euro 2012 begins on June 8.
