Defoe eyes unbeaten England run

Jermain Defoe has claimed that England can qualify for the 2014 World Cup without being beaten.

The Three Lions followed up Friday's thumping 5-0 win in Moldova with a 1-1 draw against Ukraine at Wembley Stadium on Tuesday.

"We've got a lot of games left to play. It doesn't look like we're going to get beaten, to be fair," Defoe told reporters.

"We're playing games and we believe we won't get beaten. So that's good we've got a winning mentality. Just unlucky that we didn't actually win the game."

England are currently second in their qualification group after two games.
