Spain and Germany head England in FIFA world rankings list

England remain third in world rankings

England retain third place in the FIFA world rankings after their victory over Italy in August.

England have maintained third place in the latest FIFA world rankings.

England beat Italy 2-1 in August and that was enough to see them keep third spot behind Spain and Germany.

Portugal have replaced Uruguay in fourth place while Brazil move up one position to 12th.

Republic of Ireland stay in 26th, although Wales and Scotland have fallen to 45th and 47th place respectively.

Northern Ireland have dropped 28 places to 129th position.
