Former France captain Patrick Vieira has insisted that England won't win a major international tournament until they start having a winter break during the Premier League season.
England were dumped out of Euro 2012 after their quarter-final defeat to Italy on penalties on Sunday, with many claiming that the national side looked tired during the tournament.
Vieira also witnessed his home county get knocked out of the tournament by Spain the day before, and the Arsenal legend says that the Three Lions won't win anything until they start to take a break at Christmas time.
"I feel sorry for England but best team went through," said Vieira.
"They look strong when they don't have the ball but they didn't create enough.
"Physically they look really tired. I still think the EPL teams need a break in winter if they want to win a World Cup or Euro Championship."
Vieira won both the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000 as a player.
