Friday's League of Ireland predictions including Drogheda vs. Dundalk

Drogheda vs. Dundalk (Friday, 7.45pm)

Dundalk will look to move closer to the summit of the League of Ireland Premier Division on Friday, when they travel to take on Drogheda United.

A 3-0 win last time out sees the visitors 10 points off top spot with two games in hand on leaders Shamrock Rovers, while their hosts find themselves ahead of the bottom two by the same margin.

We say: Drogheda United 0-2 Dundalk

With little room for error and the chance to reduce the gap to the league leaders, we do not see this in-form Dundalk side faltering on Friday and expect them to return home with all three points.

Shelbourne vs. Finn Harps (Friday, 7.45pm)

Two teams fighting in the bottom half of the League of Ireland Premier Division will square off on Friday, as Shelbourne entertain Finn Harps.

After another defeat last time out, the visitors remain in the relegation playoff place, 10 points adrift of guaranteed safety, while their hosts have dropped to seventh spot after a tough run of their own.

We say: Shelbourne 1-1 Finn Harps

Finn Harps have struggled for form and confidence throughout the season, but they will see Friday as a good chance to pick up vital points against another side lacking momentum.

While we do not see the ninth-placed side leaving with a victory, they should have enough to force a share of the spoils.
