Jacob Butterfield joins Crystal Palace on loan

Championship outfit Crystal Palace have signed Norwich City midfielder Jacob Butterfield on loan until February 19.

The 22-year-old joined the Canaries from Barnsley in the summer, but has seen his first-team opportunities limited following a succession of injuries.

Butterfield spent a period with Bolton Wanderers earlier in the season, but has now agreed to join Palace until next month.

The midfielder, who can also play in defence, could make his debut for the club against Bolton at the weekend.
