Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew admits need for league points

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew says that it is vital his team end their five-game losing run in the Premier League when they face Swansea City this weekend.

Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew has revealed that "even a draw would be a good result" for his side at the moment amid what has been a difficult period of the season for the London club.

Palace have lost each of their last five matches in the Premier League and have not picked up all three points in the top flight since before Christmas.

Ahead of this weekend's clash with Swansea City, Pardew has spoken of the importance of ending their losing run.

"We've had two good cup wins but the league win has avoided us. Even a draw would be a good result at the moment," Pardew told reporters.

"We need to get off the points total we're stuck on, that will help mentally. We're going to keep pushing. There are some things i will look to tweak, but we do that every game. Win, lose or draw. You have to keep momentum."

Pardew has also revealed that both Jason Puncheon and James McArthur are facing extended periods on the sidelines with hamstring and ankle injuries respectively.
