Coventry end McGinn interest

Coventry City have decided against taking Watford midfielder Stephen McGinn on loan.

The 23-year-old has not made a first-team appearance since suffering a serious knee injury in February 2011.

Hornets boss Gianfranco Zola is keen for McGinn to gain some match practice and a move to the Ricoh Arena had looked to be on the cards when he featured for the Sky Blues' Under-21 side in a 2-1 home defeat to Leeds United on Monday.

However, manager Mark Robins will not be continuing his pursuit of the player, who has now returned to Vicarage Road.
