Pressley: 'Coventry will fight for every point'

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has insisted that the club's players will continue to fight for every point available until the end of the season.

The Sky Blues were hit with a 10-point deduction on Thursday by the Football League for going into administration, and the club have confirmed that they will appeal the decision.

"We haven't given up hope," Pressley told the Coventry Telegraph. "Although it's a disappointment we have seven days to appeal and we won't give up hope until the final outcome.

"I do believe the club will make an appeal and we still have a responsibility and have to play with pride and determination in our performance, and that's what we expect.

"We have to react in a professional manner and that's all we can demand. But the most important thing for us is pride at this moment in time and to still believe that until the final decision is made that there is still an opportunity."

Coventry have dropped from 10th to 15th in League One following their points deduction.
