Carlos Valderrama "proud" of Falcao

Colombia international legend Carlos Valderrama has said that he is "delighted" for compatriot and current Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao.

The former Porto forward, who scored twice in the Europa League final earlier this week, has now triumphed in the competition in back-to-back seasons and led Atletico Madrid to their second win in three campaigns.

"We are all delighted here for what Falcao has done for Atletico Madrid," he told EFE.

"The Colombian people are proud. He is a man who never gives up."

Valderrama, who spent time in Spain with Real Valladolid, earned over 110 caps for the Colombian national team during his career.
