Report: Everton defender John Stones wants Chelsea move

Supposed Chelsea transfer target John Stones reportedly tells Everton that he is eager to move to Stamford Bridge.

John Stones has reportedly informed Everton of his desire to join Chelsea this summer.

The West Londoners are believed to have recently failed with a bid in the region of £20m for the centre-back, who last Friday insisted that he was "very happy" at Goodison Park.

However, during a conversation with club officials, the 21-year-old conceded that he would like the opportunity to discuss a move to Stamford Bridge with Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, according to the Daily Mail.

The report adds that the Toffees are now prepared to part with the defender, but only if their Premier League counterparts were to return with an offer in excess of £30m.

It has also been said that Everton would look to receive a defender on loan as part of the deal - potentially Kurt Zouma.
