Chelsea vs. Ipswich Town team news: Nicolas Jackson recall, surprise selection for visitors

Chelsea, Ipswich Town team news confirmed: Jackson recall, shock visitors selection

Chelsea and Ipswich Town have announced their starting lineups for Sunday's Premier League fixture at Stamford Bridge.

On the back of overcoming Legia Warsaw by a 3-0 scoreline in the first leg of their Conference League quarter-final on Thursday night, Enzo Maresca has had the freedom to go strong in this game.

Having remained as an unused substitute in Poland, Nicolas Jackson is recalled to the attack as expected, as his Noni Madueke after his two-goal salvo off the bench in that encounter.

Cole Palmer came through 45 minutes on Thursday before his pre-planned withdrawal and starts here, with Pedro Neto completing the front four.

The only surprise selection is that of Trevoh Chalobah, who will seemingly start at right-back rather than his usual central role.

Delap only on Ipswich substitutes' bench

Meanwhile, Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna has made the shock decision to only select top goalscorer Liam Delap among his replacements.

A total of three alterations have been made with Conor Townsend and Nathan Broadhead also dropping out of the first XI.

Leif Davis, Jack Clarke and George Hirst are the trio to be introduced into the starting lineup.

Chelsea XI: Sanchez; Chalobah, Adarabioyo, Colwill, Cucurella; Caicedo, Fernandez; Madueke, Palmer, Neto; Jackson

Subs: Jorgensen, Acheampong, Badiashile, James, Gusto, Dewsbury-Hall, George, Sancho, Nkunku
