Wednesday's Premier League predictions including Everton vs. Liverpool

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Wednesday's Premier League fixtures, including Everton vs. Liverpool.

Watford vs. Chelsea (Wednesday, 7.30pm)

With the gap at the top of the table now cut to just one point, Chelsea will aim to make an immediate return to winning ways in the Premier League during Wednesday's London derby with Watford.

While Thomas Tuchel's side were held to a 1-1 draw by Manchester United, the Hornets went down 4-2 to Leicester City in tough conditions.

We say: Watford 0-2 Chelsea

Any hopes of Watford repeating their recent 4-1 thrashing of Man United or similar 2018 success against the Blues will surely be dashed here, with Ranieri's depleted outfit no match for a freshened-up Chelsea.

Tuchel's side have conceded just one goal on the road all season and have bountiful options for rotation in the final third, so we can only envisage the Blues returning to winning ways comfortably.

Our tipster partners are predicting an away win.

Wolves vs. Burnley (Wednesday, 7.30pm)

Wolverhampton Wanderers play host to Burnley on Wednesday evening looking for the victory which will keep them in the top six of the Premier League standings.

Meanwhile, fresh off the back of a weekend off, the Clarets travel to Molineux currently sitting three points adrift of safety at the wrong end of the table.

We say: Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-1 Burnley

With Wolves continuing to struggle for goals, it is difficult to back Lage's side with any level of certainty. With that in mind, we are going to predict a low-scoring draw, Burnley benefitting from their fresher legs.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Southampton vs. Leicester (Wednesday, 7.30pm)

Seeking to put their miserable 4-0 defeat to Liverpool behind them, Southampton prepare to welcome Leicester City to St Mary's on Wednesday evening.

While the Saints were being torn apart by Jurgen Klopp's men, the Foxes prevailed in a 4-2 goal-fest with Claudio Ranieri's Watford.

We say: Southampton 1-1 Leicester City

Going down 4-0 to Liverpool should not be a trigger for Southampton to press the panic button, especially given how defensively sound they have been on home soil so far this term.

It is difficult to know what to expect from this inconsistent Leicester side - except for goals at both ends in away fixtures - and we can see a refreshed Southampton XI coming away with a respectable point.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

West Ham vs. Brighton (Wednesday, 7.30pm)

West Ham United play host to Brighton & Hove Albion on Wednesday evening looking to end a run of two successive defeats in the Premier League.

While the Hammers remain in fourth position in the standings, Brighton are down in ninth spot after failing to win any of their last eight top-flight fixtures.

We say: West Ham United 3-1 Brighton & Hove Albion

Despite Potter being relatively satisfied with the performances of his team, the Seagulls do not travel to East London in confident mood. That should contribute to a comfortable victory for the Hammers, who may seize control with a couple of early goals.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Everton vs. Liverpool (Wednesday, 8.15pm)

Two Merseyside rivals in very different veins of form renew hostilities for Wednesday's Premier League derby, as Everton and Liverpool face off at Goodison Park.

The Toffees went down 1-0 to Brentford last time out, while Jurgen Klopp's side eased to a 4-0 victory at home to Southampton.

We say: Everton 0-2 Liverpool

As the old saying goes, form goes out of the window when it comes to such a hotly-contested derby, and Everton's recent record against Liverpool at Goodison Park will certainly serve as encouragement.

Each of the last four meetings between the sides on the Toffees' turf has ended level, but a weakened Everton backline and misfiring attack are ill-equipped to take a point from this clash, with Klopp's men sweeping aside almost everything in front of them at present.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Aston Villa vs. Man City (Wednesday, 8.15pm)

Two for two under the tutelage of Steven Gerrard, Aston Villa prepare to welcome Manchester City to Villa Park for Wednesday's Premier League encounter.

The hosts saw off the challenge of Crystal Palace 2-1 at the weekend, while the Citizens beat West Ham United by the same scoreline.

We say: Aston Villa 1-2 Manchester City

City may have produced a number of goal-laden performances against Villa down the years, but this will be no cakewalk for the champions as the Gerrard revolution aims to gather momentum.

Guardiola's hand may be forced in a fatigued attack, but the visitors should still have enough to take all three points back to the Etihad.

Our tipster partners are predicting an away win.
