Andre-Villas Boas says that the race row will not prevent him from playing John Terry this weekend.

Andre Villas-Boas has insisted that he will not decline to select John Terry on Saturday despite the ongoing race row.

Terry, currently under police investigation over alleged racist comments he made to QPR's Anton Ferdinand, was benched for the club's Champions League meeting with Genk earlier this week.

However, manager Villas-Boas has said that he has no qualms in fielding the captain against Blackburn Rovers.

"I think John has been involved on all Premiership games. He's our captain, one of the best defenders in the world, and his talent is unquestionable," he explained.

"So, with the talent he is, he's always up for selection."

Meanwhile. Fabio Capello has reportedly indicated that he is likely to select Terry for England's upcoming friendlies against Spain and Sweden.
