Report: Juve to appoint Sarri in next three days

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri will reportedly become the new head coach of Juventus within the next few days.

The Italian champions have made the 60-year-old their first-choice target to replace Massimiliano Allegri, who stepped down at the end of the season.

Talks took place between Chelsea and Juventus chiefs in Baku ahead of the Blues' Europa League triumph in midweek and, according to The Mirror, an agreement is close to being reached between the two clubs.

Sarri is said to have informed his bosses that he wants to return to his homeland, less than 12 months after swapping Napoli for Stamford Bridge, and he is now holding discussions with Juve sporting director Fabio Paratici.

An official announcement could come before the end of Thursday, it is claimed, with Sarri in line to earn £19m once he puts pen to paper on the three-year deal.
