Chelsea midfielder Ramires targets Premier League title

Chelsea midfielder Ramires says the club intend to win the Premier League this season.

Chelsea midfielder Ramires has said that the club are intending to win the Premier League this season.

The energetic Brazilian believes as many as six teams will be in the title race, but thinks that Chelsea are good enough to be crowned champions.

"Our challenge is to win the Premier League," said Ramires. "I think it will be a very close season in England. Along with the two Manchester teams, we, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham will be in the race. But this year it will be harder to win games."

The former Benfica man also gave his best wishes to former boss and current Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas.

"Everyone knows I was supportive of Andre Villas-Boas and I hope he does well at Tottenham - but just not against us."

Chelsea begin their Premier League campaign against Wigan Athletic on August 18.
