Roberto Martinez wants Everton to build on Chelsea victory

Everton boss Roberto Martinez hopes that his side will build on their win over Chelsea when they face West Ham United on Saturday.

Roberto Martinez has expressed hope that his Everton team can build on their win over Chelsea when they travel to West Ham United this weekend.

The club's 1-0 victory last Saturday means that Martinez has enjoyed an unbeaten start to his reign at Goodison Park.

Martinez has said that the Toffees must continue their winning momentum against West Ham on Saturday.

"It is vital [to build on the Chelsea victory]," Goal.com quotes the Everton boss as saying.

"In any big win you need to give the value to those points with the next result. I do feel being unbeaten speaks volumes for the work-rate of the squad and of how well we have been focusing on each game.

"Now it is important we follow the victory over Chelsea with another good performance in a difficult environment at West Ham."

Everton are currently ninth in the Premier League.
