CPS to investigate new evidence in Terry race row

The Crown Prosecution Service have been handed new video evidence of John Terry's alleged racial exchange with Anton Ferdinand.

The video was given to police, who have now passed it on to the CPS.

The allegation arose from Chelsea's clash with QPR in October, where Terry was caught on camera appearing to make a racist remark to Ferdinand, although the Chelsea skipper has denied the allegations.

Police have already quizzed four Chelsea stars - Ashley Cole, John Obi Mikel, Branislav Ivanovic and David Luiz - but as of yet no definitive evidence has been gathered.

The CPS are expected to make a final decision before the weekend.
